'The Gap between Strangers'
Self-published / Limited Edition of 50 copies / 24 x 31 cm / 36 pages / 2009

Inspired by my everyday life experience as a foreigner in London. At that time, the only way for me to have a sense of the city was through one medium of transport: the tube. Traveling underground, where the city remains untouchable and unseen, you only get an idea of how it could be through the observation of its people. In the middle of the crowd I became invisible and a stranger even to myself. The strangers turned into a weird form of company, with a feeling of awkward intimacy all around. All close together but at the same time so far away from each other.
